Q  Are the fittings included?
A  Yes Matching colour ShutterLoks are supplied. These are a cross between a screw/wall plug and a nail. You can order matching colour screws if required.

Q  Can I remove the shutters to paint behind?
A  Yes but with care -  if you need, you can cut the head off the ShutterLok to remove shutter and we will supply replacement ShutterLoks.

Q  Can I paint them?
A  No. The colour is moulded right throughout the material, and remains. They are designed to be maintenance free. We have 17 colours to choose from including Bright White.
Yes, only the “paintable “ shutters can be painted.

Q  Are the side rails on the 18* 457mm shutters very wide?
A  No. Our side rails are less than 70mm wide and in proportion with other widths (other makes can be 1” wider at over 90mm almost twice the width of a 14.5” 369mm shutter).

Q  Will the white, yellow?
A  No

Q Will the colour fade?
A This is covered by our 40 year warranty and in general you will not notice any fading. After many years there may be a slight difference compared to a new shutter.

Q  How can I clean them?
A  Just with soapy water

Q  What is woodgrain effect?
A  The surface of the material has light markings to give a woodgrain effect which gives them the natural look.  Some other makes have deep indentations to obtain this effect which can harbour dirt etc

Q  Are fittings included and do they show?
A  Screws are included but not wall plugs. There is a neat matching cap that hides the fixings

Q   Can I fit to any surface?
A   Yes, Flat walls, Staccato even some Pebble Dash i.e. almost all surfaces found in the UK

Q  Is sealing required?
A  No

Q  What do I do about corners, ends and joins?
A  Inside and outside 90 degree corners plus right and left end caps are available. The 4ft 1220mm lengths have an overlap moulded into them to give a seamless join

Q  Is the surface of the material flat?
A  Yes within the Square tooth and Scalloped tooth designs

Q  Can I paint them?
A  No. These are designed to be maintenance free but paintable versions are available.

Q  How can I clean them?
A  With soapy water or just a hose

Q  Are the fittings included?

A  No. The face of the pilaster and header snap securely into base plates

Q  Can I fit to any surface?
A  Yes any flat walls, timber, staccato and even some pebbledash. I.e. almost all surfaces found in the UK

Q  Do I have to seal?
A  No. This assumes a reasonable flat surface for the header

Q  What is the maximum height and width?
A  The maximum height of the opening is 102” 2.59mtrs. With keystones any width can be made

Q  Do I have to use a keystone?
A  Yes unless you have measurements to exactly coincide with our headers

Q  Can you make to measure?
A  We can - if you have confidence in your measurements. We can not accept returns
It is much preferred that cutting is carried out on site

DOOR CANOPY

Q Is this easily fitted?
A Yes, this is light weight and can be fitted by one person.

Q Can I fit it to a touring caravan?
A Yes. Please consult your manufacturer. We can supply a back plate for ease of fitting and removal of the canopy.

Q Is it guaranteed?
A Yes for five years (all our other products are forty years).
